Welcome to the world of information exchange

We were at the last council meeting exchanging ideas on how to achieve better interaction with the residents of the municipality that we represent. The days of wandering the back roads and footpaths - meeting neighbors and exchanging views and concerns seems to have passed us by, replaced with the rush to achieve 'living'.
Jerry suggested a blog.
Sylvia replied 'we already have one'.
Randal thought 'Oh my god - more electronic crap to have to cope with.'
But, the benefits could be enormous.
And, here I am. It's pouring (again), I have five minutes.
And, I'm taking that five minutes to inform and invite everyone on my contact list to make use of this blog to discuss your questions, state your concerns and maybe even pat some backs during our busy days.

Good move Sylvia and your staff at administration

Bylaw No. 203

I was hoping someone could explain the current uproar over RV's parked on lots in Summer Village of Golden Days. I have read over the Bylaw regarding it but don't understand why an owner would not be allowed to use an RV on their privately owned lots instead of having to build. Clarification would be greatly appreciated. Also, when did that bylaw come into effect and how do I find out what the previous stance was before bylaw no. 203? I look forward to any feedback possible. Thanks.

Your input creates the community

We had apprx. 65 attendees for the Summer Village annual information meeting this past Saturday at the Vasa Hall. A good cross section of the five beaches discussed a variety of topics including water import, trailers, current projects, paving roads, policing, even landing helicopters.
A particularly interesting and informative presentation was given by our chief financial officer Bev Schnieder on taxes, the budget and available grant money from the government.
Paul Fee's statement supporting water importation to revitalize the lake was also received with an overwhelming response from the gathering.
Once again thank you all for attending and as I advised then 'your input creates the community'.
